When Christ ascended, He transferred His authority to the Church. He is the Head of the Church, and believers make up the Body.

Authority of a Believer

Every believer has an Authority. 
Luke 10:19, "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
